Reviews: BOOKS 1-5 DARK SERIES by Christine Feehan

DARK PRINCE 
My best friend gave me the first 13 books of Christine Feehan’s Dark Series last year, and it was quite a while before I started the first book, THE DARK PRINCE. Because of the covers I thought they were historical romances which I am not a fan of. I had read her Ghostwalkers series which I liked so I decided to try this series. 
I started reading and couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with the Carpathian prince. He is so lonely that he considers suicide and then he meets Raven who brings light and love into his life. 
The Carpathian world is dark, intriguing and sensual. I couldn’t wait to read the next book in the series. After finishing the 13 books, I immediately went out and purchased the remainder in the series. I absolutely loved them all. I recognized all the characters and felt an affinity for them. 
Earlier this year I decided to read all of them again. I couldn’t stop. I had to read the whole series nonstop. Lots of sleepless nights turning page after page…but wow was it worth it!!!!!!! I am addicted to this series and will probably read them again and again. 
I definitely recommend the series to anyone who loves paranormal romance, with lots of alpha males, strong females and hot, steamy encounters. Filled with emotion, despair, yearning, passion and love. 

DARK DESIRE
Another read late into the night. I had to finish this book so I guess I did love the story.  Jacques, who we first meet in Dark Prince, is Mikhail Dubrinsky’s brother and he was tortured by a vampire and buried alive. Slowly going insane after a few years he connects telepathically with his life mate. Shea, a doctor starts having nightmares about Jacques and feels drawn to travel to the Carpathian mountains where she discovers him and begins healing him. 
She doesn’t know that she is part Carpathian part human and is turned into a full Carpathian by Jacques. 
We meet some of the characters from the first book… Mikhail Dubrinsky, Raven and Gregori who is the greatest healer of the Carpathian race. 
Shea and Jacque’s story is emotional, painful and dark and I was really happy when both realized their love for each other 


  DARK GOLD
 As I continue reading this series I become more and more enthralled with the characters we meet. This is the 3rd book in the series and it’s a great book. 
This is the story of Aidan, twin brother of Julian who are ancient Carpathians living far away from their beloved home – the Carpathian Mountains who meets his life mate, Alexandria when he saves her and her brother from a vampire that had capture them. 
I love Aidan….the gorgeous, golden hero who shape shifts into a golden eagle…wow….and he is the only Carpathian that has a human family who live with him. 
It creates a sense of family and Alexandria’s brother who is human is taken care of by this family. I loved the bond between sister and brother. 
The books just keep getting better and better. Love meeting new characters and reading their story. 
This is a favorite one of mine. 


  DARK MAGIC
Dark Magic is the 4th book of the series and it was a page turner for me. 
This is the story of Gregori, the great Carpathian healer and one of the oldest Carpathian males and his life mate Savannah, the daughter of Mikhail Dubrinsky and Raven who we met in the first book, Dark Prince. 
Gregori travels to New Orleans to claim her and the story is seductive, dark and the relationship between the two is very sensual even though Gregori can be very brutal and possessive at times. Savannah is very independent and interesting. 
The love scenes are really hot and steamy. 
I was caught up in the book and read it in one go. 
I am totally addicted to this series and couldn’t wait to open the next book. 


   DARK CHALLENGE 
Wonderful and sensual story of yet another golden Carpathian…Julian twin brother of Aidan has given up hope of meeting his life mate and he knows he’s on the verge of turning into an evil vampire or ending his life. 
He meets Desari, the beautiful singer in the band The Dark Troubadours and he knows he has found the woman who will save him. 
Wow….the 5th book in the series is HOT HOT….I absolutely loved the band and the members. The story is absolutely incredible…..I drank in every word I read…..I couldn’t wait to read the stories of Dayan, Darius and the gorgeous Barack…. 
As I continue reading the series I wonder if it’s possible that the next one is even better……yes….they get better and better!!!!
