Air Bound is the 3rd book in the Sister’s of the Heart s Series by Christine Feehan, of a group of women bound by the magical powers of the elements.
Airiana “Airi” Riddell, gifted with the air element lives in the farm with her sisters after fleeing from a secret government program, when her mother was murdered.
Maxim Prakenskii is an arms dealer, dark and dangerous and kidnaps Airi for a wicked scientist, who wants and needs her for his evil projects.
I liked this book much more than the previous one. Although the whole insta-love between Airi and Maxim was a bit unbelievable, it didn’t detract from me liking them.
Most of the story takes place away from the farm and we get to see some really bad things that humans are capable of doing. Child-trafficking, murder, slavery, abuse and a lot more. We also see that there is good in some people and how far they will put their lives at risk for someone else.
My favorite character was definitely Benito, one of the children that Max and Airi adopt. He was the most endearing and lovable child and he pulled my heartstrings!!!
I am enjoying the character development of the sisters and the Prakenskii brothers and how they find happiness in their lives.
This was a compelling read.
