Ever since I discovered Elizabeth Hunter’s stunning Elemental Series I have been unable to keep myself away from devouring book after book….in fact, it’s been a non-stop reading marathon for me…..
I just can’t get enough of the lives and tribulations of these extraordinary and fascinating characters that grown on you, that have become like family to me. They are a mix of all cultures whose lives are filled with humor, love, family loyalty, loss, pain, and happiness….just like everyday people. You care for them
The world that the author has created is intriguing, captivating, unique, clever and totally addicted.
I have been fascinated by the mysterious and intriguing water vampire, Baojia, since he made his first appearance in The Force of Wind, the 3rd book of the Elemental Mysteries Series.
Assigned by his sire, Don Ernesto to protect his granddaughter, Beatrice De Novo and becoming her trainer and friend, he ended up being sent into exile after the disastrous happenings at the end of that book.
He’s living in San Diego, bored, running a club owned by Don Ernesto and spends his time waiting to be called back to doing what he’s good at….a warrior.
Natalie Ellis, a friend of Beatrice, is a fearless reporter is investigating the serial killings of women in the area where Baojia is living.
Worlds collide and their lives will never be the same again.
The chemistry between them is explosive. Sexy, passionate and a sexual tension between two stubborn people that makes you want them to succeed in finding a HEA together.
The depth of their connection is a joy to read.
“Do you realize…” she whispered. “Do you know what loving you would mean for me? For my life?”
“Yes.” He kissed her lips gently, then he whispered in her ear, “Love me anyway.”
I loved seeing the interaction between these two strong and passionate characters. And to watch Baojia finding someone to love after being alone for so many years was another thing I loved about this story. Emotionally intense.
“Give it a chance. Us. This.” He swallowed the odd lump in his throat. “Whatever it is, it’s new for me too.”
Adding to my enjoyment was the cast of the familiar and loved characters from the previous books that appear in this story.
And as usual, the humorous dialogue continues…can I ever forget the popcorn scene with Tenzin & Giovanni???
“Tenzin said, “More popcorn, my boy.”
Giovanni ripped the plastic bag open and held the paper bag. “This is ridiculous. I’m not a kitchen appliance.”
Whilst on the subject of another of my favorites in this series..yes, that would be Tenzin…
Is there something going to happen between her and Giovanni’s adopted son Ben????
He’s turning into a very interesting and gorgeous young man…
I would love to see where these two characters will go next….in fact, I quite like the idea of them together.
Oh, yes….Let me not forget to mention…yet again…how much I love Baojia…this is some hot and gorgeous water vampire…….yes, okay, I’m gushing here…but damn..this is one fabulous vamp..
This was one of my favorite books in the series….it was such a romantic love story.
I can’t wait to read more about the love and lives of these extraordinary characters….
So, if you haven’t started reading this series……I urge you to get book 1…I promise you will get hooked just like I did……..
