I have read quite a few books in the Maggie O’Dell Series, which I have really liked.
I read this book, Silent Creed, the 2nd in her Ryder Creed Series before the 1st book, but still found it fascinating and exciting. I will go back and read the 1st one later. What I liked about this story was that Maggie O’Dell makes plays quite a big part in the story.
Let me begin by saying that I was totally into Ryder Creed…what an amazing character. There is so much about this man that makes you like him. A dog handler who works with finding bodies, with a rather sad and lonely past life, he just pulled me in….
I loved the way the dogs are such well-developed characters and form such a huge part in the story. I fell in love with Grace and Bolo instantly!!!
Well written, well paced story of experiments by the military gone wrong during a storm and landslide, murders and lots of twists and turns….
There seems to be a romantic connection between Ryder and Maggie which I would love to see progress to something more.
The ending of the book leaves us with a bit of a mystery which I am sure will continue with the next book in this series.
Another good read by Alex Kava.
