REVIEW: LAZARO'S REVENGE by Jane Porter

Lazaro's Revenge by Jane PorterThis is the 2nd book in Jane Porter’s The Galvan Brides series. Each book is the story of the late aristocrat Count Tino Galvan, a man known for his fabulous looks and wealth. He was married twice and indulged in loads of affairs which resulted in a number of legitimate and illegitimate children.

Lazaro Herrera is the illegitimate son born from an affair the Count had with Sabana Herrera, a young maid in the service of the Galvan family home and had been cruelly thrown out into the streets with any money and help and refusing to acknowledge the birth of her son.

From a life of struggle and poverty he attains the position of CEO of the Galvan company and has dedicated his life in getting back at the Galvans’ and taking over Dante Galvan, (his half-brother)company and bring down the family.
Zoe Collingsworth, Daisy’s sister who is married to Dante, is kidnapped by Lazaro – at Dante’s request and is taken to the house that Lazaro had built for his now dead mother.

From the moment they see each other, a powerful sexual magnetism sizzles between them. Zoe is a beautiful, caring and strong person. Lazaro is a strong hero is at first the wounded, hard and strong hero. Realizing the love for each other, Zoe’s optimism and belief in the goodness inside Lazaro’s heart, revenge no longer seems to be that important.

Difficult choices have to be made but at the end their love overcomes all the obstacles facing them.
A story about revenge, forgiveness and how important family love is.
