More Carpathians…Yay….Amazing that I still get excited about this series (which is one of my top 3 favorite pnr series)….26 books and still love to get more of the amazing world that the author has created.
Lev, the Lycan warrior and Branislava, a dragonseeker – this is it…their own love story!!!!

So what do I think after reading this book in one go………well, okay, I did take a break or two but finished it one day…………

I liked

Lev – his loyalty and honor and the fact that, despite knowing that
Branislava was his lifemate, did not force it on her and rather let decide if she truly wanted to be with him or not

Branislava – her strength and her wit

The interaction between Lev & Bran – I really enjoyed the banter. The teasing and how they helped each other

Seeing some of my beloved characters in this series again

The scene that begins with Lev dancing with Bran and becomes a family reunion when everyone joins in, including the children. Utterly fabulous, even if it was just for a few pages

I did not like

The repetition – so many times being reminded that Zev was a warrior, he was mixed blood….again, again and again
And by the third of fourth time I read that Bran tasted like cinnamon and honey, I was about to pull my hair out

The sex scenes…..geez…scene 1 over 6 or 7 pages…okay, I did not count after a while because ……..it was like

A few chapters later

A few more pages and more

So after a while, I just skimmed and skipped the sex scenes..because…honestly, it was the same over and over….cinnamon and honey – in fact, the sex scenes I read were pretty awful. I found nothing sexy or sensual about them.

I was so disappointed in discovering who the villain/s were……….more repetition

There were so many pages and lines used for all the mage spells and all those pages…something like 30 at the end that was info on the Carpathian language…..felt it was like just fill in as many pages as possible….We have that information already….so why have again!!
Okay, so I kind of liked this book…it’s a good but not a great one and certainly not one of my favorites in this series.

A princess and bodyguard love story, set on a lovely island and the Alps. And written by one of my favorite Mills & Boon authors. What could possibly go wrong here??????
I absolutely disliked Princess Evangelina from the first time we are introduced to her.

What a spoilt, boring and empty person. The hero, Makhail, who has been assigned as her bodyguard, got it so right………..

“You are spoiled. Selfish. Characteristics brought on by a life with every amenity you could possibly imagine—and some most people can not—at your fingertips. You feel persecuted while surrounded by luxury because you know nothing else. Because you don’t know what it is to go without food or shelter.”

Oh no, how could a man ever think such bad things about her. She’s just a nice and average princess…He hurt her feelings………….

Yeah, right….what feelings!!!!! Spoiltbrat!!! But wait a minute, he does not understand her.
You see, Eva is soo sad and unhappy…

I know…she’s a princess everything is done for her, even the choice of a husband…and all she wants to do is buy her own shoes,

order her own dinner……….walk on the beach….

By know, it’s no secret that Princessinha Eva is not a favorite of mine!!
I nearly gave up halfway but by then I had grown to like Mak…who I initially thought a bit cold and unemotional, suddenly began to thaw my heart. He had a pretty hard life in Russia but he remained an honorable person all along. What he had experienced was quite sad and when I discovered his “secret”…it was like WOW…I never expected that.

"I'll confess, I lack hands on experience. However, I can dismantle a bomb in under sixty seconds. That requires skill, dexterity, concentration. I'm sure I can apply it."

If you are a fan of this author then you should read this one. I am onto book 2 which is Stavros story. I am looking forward to it.

and the one I absolutely loved the most……….WOW….What a journey this story took me on.
It had everything I love in Mills & Boon story.
Captivating protagonists – a seductive and gorgeous alpha hero without the need to take over the heroine’s life. A beautiful, strong, smart and independent heroine, who is not afraid to stand up to the hero without being irritating,.
High sensuality and sky-rocketing sexual and emotional chemistry that just blew me away.

Entranced - from the 1st chapter where our hero, Nicandro Santos, who is determined to bring Zeus, the owner of the secretive Q Virtus club down, sees Olympia Merisi, the heroine, sleeping in the most opulent bed, until the last page. You can’t stop turning the pages!!!!!
I loved the sexy and warm-hearted Nicandro….he’s a total “boneco” and I would love to have him as my “querido”! The more I got to know him, the more I liked him.
Olympia has become one of my favorite Mills & Boon heroines. She has not allowed the sad past to rule her life….she fought back and is determined to succeed without becoming a bitter and twisted person.
Emotion and Passion so perfectly balanced – it’s not only about their sexual connection but the emotional as well. They bring the best out of each other…..making it possible for them to actually follow their dreams…..he going back to doing what he has always loved….football…and her finally accepting that she is the person she has always wanted to be. To be accepted and loved for the person she is.
Beautifully written sex scenes……erotic, daring and ….mind-blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!
And let me not forget the glamorous and fabulous settings.

and beyond loved when Olympia shows Nicandro Aurora Borealis .I could go on and on…..let’s just say….I LOVED THE ENTIRE BOOK!!!!!!!!!
A great ending to this series – and yes, yes, yes…all is revealed!!!!
I am so looking forward to reading more books by this author. I really like her writing style.

The Ultimate Seduction by Dani Collins is the 2nd book in The 21st Century Gentleman's Club mini-series and what made the story for me was the heroine, Tiffany Davis. If not for her, I’m not sure if I would have liked it as much as I did because the hero, Ryzard Vrbancic, president of the newly liberated country of Bregnovia just never pulled at my heartstrings like Tiffany did.
Having been invited to attend a masquerade ball, in Zanzibar that is being hosted by the very secretive Q Virtus Club, she’s manipulated by her family to attend so that she can suss out a business deal her father is very keen about.
Ryzard is also a member and is anxious to meet connect with powerful people who can help him get his country recognized by the UN.
At the ball, where everyone’s identity is hidden behind exotic masks,
Tiffany is in for a huge surprise when she has a one night stand with one of the guests.

Wow, that was the most erotic and sensual scene yet!!!!
I’m not going any further about the story which has quite a different plot and protagonists than usual…..a freedom fighter, voted in as president by his people, working hard at getting his country together after the horrendous revolution and a woman, used to being manipulated by her family, who loses her husband on their wedding day, leaving her emotionally and physically scarred.
I loved Tiffany – for her courage in the way she dealt with her situation. And that she had such heart and compassion for others and instead of falling into self-pity chose to make a difference. I rather thought she was far too good for Ryzard. I know she agreed to the affair with him but she fell in love with him but he did not feel the same. He just kept using her over and over again until at the very end he realizes how much she means to him. Enough of being in love with the woman who died for him. Here’s this incredible woman who loves you…don’t be a dolt!!!! ……. I said……
A sexy and passionate story with more fabulous settings……loved the Zanzibar scenes…. and a nice addition to the series.

A lot smoldering looks…and yes, sexy Narciso quickly does away with Ruby’s virginity with some hot and erotic sex!!!

Some twists and turns, witty dialogue and naturally loads of obstacles in front to these two that just keep them going hot and cold, yes and no…..but finally we get to see both overcoming their “daddy” issues and go off to their HEA…………..

I enjoyed the story plot with all its intrigues and secrets and fabulous locations – Macau just sounds so exotic doesn’t it? and interesting characters.
