I struggled with this one. Whilst I liked book #1, The Veil, I couldn't get into the story!! In fact, I put it down a few times and forced myself to finish reading it.

I do like the heroine, Claire Connolly and some of the other secondary characters but they don't wow me!!! Another thing is that I just can't seem to connect with the world that the author is building.

I'm not sure if I will continue with this series.
I much prefer the author's Chicagoland Vampires Series.
