I am really struggling to write a review on this book.....
Most of the readers of GR have loved El Diablo but for me.........it just didn't do it!!! There were more things I disliked about the whole book than I actually liked.
Now don't get me wrong....I don't mind reading "dark" stories and I was looking forward to finding out what all those 4/5 stars reviews were all about.
The first part of the book was okay....I felt for the trauma that the two main characters went through their childhood. But suddenly I began to get totally annoyed with everyone and everything.
What I hated the most :
The hero, Alejandro is in his 40's and the heroine, Lexi is 24 years old.
The hero sleeps with both mother and daughter!!!!
I absolutely detested the manner in which Alejandro treated Lexi.........he has sex with another woman knowing that Lexi can hear the sounds....and he professes that he loves Lexi!!!! PLEASE!!!!
“The fact that I caused Lexi pain, when in reality all I wanted to do was to provide her with comfort.”How sick is this guy!!!!
Alejandro treats Lexi without respect - he stalks her....he messes with her head....he's totally disgusting!!! I HATED THE F@@@@@@@$###.........And he never changes the way he's towards her....what the hell does Lexi want with someone like him!!!!!
I did, however, like Lexi....in fact, she was the only character I had any feelings for. She was strong and I liked her sassy attitude...but I just so wished she would have made Alejandro grovel and bow.....but no!!!
Anyway, to end off my ranting and raving - for me....it was just under an ok read...all because of Lexi............
