Consumed is the #3.5 novella in Cari Quinn/Taryn Elliott’s LOST IN OBLIVION Series and it continues Simon Kagan and Margo Reece’s story. It picks up just after the events at the end in Destroyed, where Simon had collapse on stage during a concert. This book focuses totally on Simon and Margo and how they go forward in their relationship.
Simon is suddenly faced with having to deal with changes in his life and in his career. To consider what his vocal injury will affect his future, his music and his friends in the band.
Margo organizes a break to stay at her family home on a small island in the Caribbean. He will have a chance to relax and work on getting better. It will also give them some time to be together and alone…..
Margo and Simon are a great couple together and seeing them fall deeper and deeper in love was pretty cool to watch.
And then there’s that sexual chemistry………….seductive, erotic, passionate, intense, ardent, adoring, loving……….The strong surge of romantic and sexual emotions overwhelm them.
Their numerous…I mean a lot…of sex scenes…. On the beach, on the beach, in the sea, on the floor….Sex…and more sex…
And you would have ever believed button-down Violin Girl, Margo could be so adventurous!!!! So eager!!
At one point I began wondering if all there was to these two was sex and nothing else!! And happily to say…yes…there is more than just sex…it’s just that Simon and Margo like having sex with each other….hell, the sexual compatibility is beyond amazing…adventurous, seductive and totally sexy and sizzle.
Spending time alone with each other creates a closeness and connectedness, builds an intimacy between them.
Spending time with Margo, Simon feels a deep need to share everything in his life with Margo. He wants her safe, he wants to protect her and he wants her to know how much he loves her.
“There was much b!tch!ng about swollen ankles, boobs, and the inability to get out of chairs without assistance. Hovering husbands, formerly known as a guitar god and a demon bass player, had lost their manhood. The electricity and chemistry are constantly zapping and bubbling around them. It was fun, entertaining, and sweet and Simon had some pretty cute things to say…..
"He sealed their lips and breathed her in. Honeysuckle and ocean and cocoa butter. And his. Undeniably his. He wanted to take all of it back with him, protect it like the Hope-fucking-diamond. Protect it like he hadn’t protected his voice. Cherish it like he’d never cherished anything before."
“Say my name.”
His lips twitched. “Which one?”
She smiled. “Your favorite.”
“Violin Girl?”
She tipped her chin up, her lips spreading into a wider smile. “Oh, yeah.”
And just when I began to think I would never get a glimpse of the characters that I have come to love…at last…Harper and Deacon, Jazz and Gray, snarky Nick and even my fav Lila Shawcross suddenly appear….lots of new things happening to Oblivion….kids on the way……more more more…..
A nice conclusion to Simon and Margo’s HEA!!!!
One of my fav quotes:
“There was much b!tch!ng about swollen ankles, boobs, and the inability to get out of chairs without assistance. Hovering husbands, formerly known as a guitar god and a demon bass player, had lost their manhood.
I can’t wait for Shattered – finally Lila and Nick’s story!!! I love this woman!!!!
