Such a sweet love story!!!
Prince Charming – Niko Parakis, Greek billionaire playboy. Does not believe in love is forever – proof of that is the example of his parents destructive relationship. He does not do forever!!!!
Cinderella – Mel Cooper, beautiful, smart, hardworking, caring who gave up a lot in her life to look after her elderly grandfather. She’s worked two jobs to make enough money to see the world.
Nikos walks into Sarnies, the shop Mel is working at and she’s not impressed………..
…I enjoyed their first interaction…funny and cute.
Anyway, Nikos is impressed…she’s gorgeous and sassy and is just the right girl to take a charity ball to get an unwanted woman off his back. Wow, he begins to like her even more and she as well. He’s actually quite a nice guy!!!!
So off he whisks her to the Caribbean – what a great start to her travel the world plan! Even if the time with him is just a week or two. Romance, blue skies, azure sea, fabulous hotel – what else is needed for seduction!!!!
The two go through a lot….and a lot…..and a lot…..of self-questioning….
In fact there was so much inner dialogue – pages and pages of it – that after a while I began skimming a few.
There wasn’t much heat in the story. The love scenes between the two are short and sweet…..
There’s not much conflict…apart from the inner dialogue, no villains, no angst (only between Nikos parents who go at each other all the time….thankfully they resolve their sh….t n the end!)
Nikos and Mel are the sweetest and nicest couple ever and I was glad that they have their HEA…how could they not…..
Not my favourite by this author…I have read better books by Julia James!
