But someone enters his life that change his life forever…and that is … Emma Reynolds...caring, tenacious, sweet, determined, strong....
“I wonder how you’ll scream when I tear out your heart and show it to you,” Emma said, very calmly, her voice low, meaning every word.”I wasn’t sure how I felt about Jake in the beginning. He displayed such cruelty and he was so cold, almost abusive towards Emma. But we slowly see something deep inside him that makes you realize that there is a heart there somewhere. He goes from being totally overpowering and domineering with Emma
. ”Make no mistake, Emma Reynolds. You will be my possession.”to a caring and experiencing deep feelings of love, something he had never felt before. I loved seeing their relationship develop and evolve.
I loved this book. The story was deeply intense with characters that just grabbed at your heartstrings.
