I have enjoyed this series tremendously and have given the previous books a 4 star rating. It had everything I like in romance suspense plus a bit of paranormal….and written by one of my favorite romance authors, Lisa Jackson.

So, it goes without saying that I was so excited when book #4 Wicked Ways became available. I couldn’t wait to get back to Deception Bay and the Siren Song women.


From the 1st page…it was like……totally slow…slow ….slow…nothing ever happens except…..
We get to know Elizabeth and her daughter, Chloe and all the Mom Group members…and all the people Elizabeth wishes dead actually die…like her husband, her boss, the nasty cop…..


Until the last few chapters do we get anything about Deception Bay… before that we get a whole lot of Elizabeth’s daily life and chores at work and with her many many friends!!!!!

The writing was ghastly…..almost no dialogue really!!!!
The only thing that kept me turning the pages was Ravina from Siren Song…she’s such a delightful character and I hope we get more of her in the future…and Rex, the private investigator she hires to find her lost cousin, Elizabeth.
If not for these two I would have given up after chapter 5!!!!!


I haven’t given up on this series though....…well, hopefully it will continue, because there’s a lot more I want to find out about Siren Song and Deception Bay!!!!!
