Greek’s Last Redemption by Caitlin Crews is the 13th installment in The Chatsfield series but one doesn’t need to read the previous books in the series because apart from the showdown between the hero & heroine taking place at the Barcelona Chatsfield hotel, it has nothing else relating to the Chatsfields at all…so this book can be read as a standalone.
Theo & Holly must be the couple I have most disliked in a Mills & Boon story!!!
There was absolutely nothing about them that I cared about!!! Both so horrible to each other and so……….
After leaving her husband in Greece without an explanation and living off his money back home in sunny Texas for the last four years, she suddenly appears back in his life… demanding a divorce, which he has refused to give her!!!! Why???? Get rid of her I say!!!! But no, he decides he wants to meet up with her at the hotel, where they had spent their wonderful honeymoon!!!! Is this man crazy!!!!
There’s no lovey feelings between these two….what they spend is a day or two hurling insults at each other!!!
He tells her what he thinks of her!!!!
She tells him that he’s so not great and even goes one further to belittle his family…
So, poor Theo just cannot understand why Holly left him…he thought she had slept with some tourist on his island…..how could she have done that when he was so in love with her!!!! But hell, the insults continue…
Then Holly, who still has the hots for Theo…and not forgetting his money…admits that she lied about her being unfaithful!!!! Why??? Because of her deep love for Theo…. She was afraid that he would leave her because everyone she has ever loved has left her!!!!
I just could not get my head around her reasons for abandoning her marriage…how can she say she loved him so MUCH and leave him in the way she did….I don’t believe she felt that kind of love for him.
I didn't feel any love or connection between the two and that’s what made them getting together again and finding a second chance at love so difficult to believe.
One of those books that will be forgettable and definitely not on my to read again list!!!
