The 5th book in Nalini Singh’s incredible Psy/Changeling Series, continues the world-building of the new societies that threaten world peace.
Dorian Christensen is a sentinel and sniper in the DarkRiver pack and struggles with his uniqueness of being a latent leopard changeling…..he is unable to shift into his animal form. He has an undying hatred for the Psy, after the terrible loss at their hands and when he’s asked to help kidnap a PSY child, he finds himself at a crossroad.
Ashaya, a brilliant Psy scientist has begun questioning the world of Silence and asks a favor from the DarkRiver pack to kidnap and keep her son safe from the Psy.
Such a good pairing….Dorian feels torn by the feelings he has for her….she’s part of a race that he hates with all his heart. Ashaya feels threatened by Dorian – Silence, the very thing she believes will keep her and her son safe is being eroded by him.
Giving in to their feelings might mean death and chaos to them and to those they love.
This was such an emotional story. Filled with suspense, fear of the unknown, action, romance and love.
A great continuation to, what has become one of my favorite PNR series.
