Branded as Trouble by Lorelei James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed reading the first 5 books in the Rough Riders Series, which follows the lives of the Wyoming Mckay family of ranchers.
Branded for Trouble, the 6th book gives us Colt McKay and India Ellison, who were introduced in previous books….. and what a fun and fabulous read.
India Ellison is not your average “cowgirl”…an artist who owns a tattoo shop in the local town, with blue dyed hair, tattooed and pierced – she rides a bike and happens to be Colt’s AA sponsor.
Colt McKay, gorgeous, sexy and the black sheep of the family, has been clean for three years after spending a few years in a haze of drugs and alcohol.
Best friends, both trying to deal with their addictions and the attraction they feel for each other which has grown from the friendship.
These two are such a cute, funny and lovable couple. Hot sexual tension….Their interaction and growing feelings are a real treat to see………..Colt realizes he wants to get India into his bed…and what a luck….even if it means some pain for him….yes, India shot him in his ass with one of her tattoo guns…and him now recuperating in her home is the perfect opportunity to get her “nekkid””….
and there’s a lot of that going on in this story………..what a cowboy!!!!
Lots of family politics, with appearances of characters from previous books…Cam McKay, war hero who has the hots for Domini Katzinski, Skylar and Kade and their adorable kids and my ultimate favorite trio/couple, Trevor, Edgard & Chassie Glanzer …waiting for their baby to arrive….love seeing how their lives have progressed together.
A fantastic and such a lovely ending to Colt & India’s story…..
I am so looking forward to continuing this series.
