The 2nd book and follow up to Grace & Luca’s book in Michelle Smart’s Irresistible Sicilians Trilogy which tells the story of Car (Grace’s best friend a & Pepe, Luca’s brother (…what an unfortunate Italian name…never met any Italian man with that name….and to be honest I did not like it…I had this vision in my head of
I disliked Pepe at the beginning…the way he travels to Dublin and in one night seduces Cara in a very devious way.. which he admits when, four months later, meet at his brother’s baby’s christening….

You came all the way to Dublin, to the auction house where I work, spent two million euros on a painting, and all to get hold of my phone?'

'Si.'

She shook her head, her long copper locks whipping over her shoulders. 'I take it the whole "I've always wanted to visit Dublin, please show me around" thing was also deliberate?'

'Yes.' He held her icy gaze and allowed the tiniest of softening into his tone. 'I really did have a great weekend- you're an excellent tour guide.'

'And you're an unmitigated…' She buried the curse beneath a deep breath. 'But that's by the by. You seduced me for one reason and one reason only-so you could steal my phone the minute I fell asleep.'

'That was the main reason,' he agreed, experiencing the strangest tightening in his chest. 'But I can assure you, I enjoyed every minute. And I know you enjoyed it too.'

Can you believe this guy? No shame….whatsoever!!!
He’s in for a HUGE surprise. Cara is pregnant from that night of passion and tells him she needs money to help her with the baby..Something she’s not that excited about….now, I don’t like her either.
Pepe continues being a total twit……asking for a DNA test..yes, he does not believe her ..just thinks she’s a gold digger and no way is any woman going to get anything out of him. Oh yes, he’s suspicious of all women because he was hurt when he was 18!!!!!!! And he still feels the same years later!!

and “the cherry on the cake” – she must move in with him until the baby is born, otherwise no millions for her or the baby…...

And he continues being callous and cruel….taking her to a party where he knows a load number of women he has been to bed with are going to be at…..never mind the past, he continues hopping from bed to bed during the situation.

But Cara gave back too…at times she was pretty cruel and horrible.
But somehow these two characters grew on me and I really felt sad for them when tragedy hits them. Quite an emotional part in the story. Watching the deep pain and torment that both are faced with.
The epilogue was great and I was pretty happy that they do find true love and happiness together.
Loved the Sicilian setting……< and the Italian family vibe.
I am so looking forward to the next story.
