Review: The Spaniard's Passion by Jane Porter

The Spaniard's Passion (The Galvan Brides) (Harlequin Presents, 2363)The Spaniard’s Passion (I wonder about the title….he hero is actually half Welsh/Argentinean!!!!) is the 5th and last book in the Galvan Brides Series and I loved reading as much as I did the first time.
Jane Porter is one of my favourite authors. I love her books. Her stories are filled with romance, intrigue, that take us on a rollercoaster of emotion

This is the story of a love triangle that spans years and continents between Alonso Galvan, Sophie Johnson and Clive Wilkins. The three had been close friends since their schooldays.. Sophie had always been attracted to Alonso but was afraid of her feelings and the danger surrounding him. Clive had known that Alonso was going to propose to Sophie but he got in first offering her the security and stability and family she had always wanted.
This creates a rift in their relationship and 7 years later Clive is dead, Sophie is broke and is trying to find answers to the questions of her husband’s she has about his death. Alonso is back in her life, determined to get the woman he has always loved. And this time he will never let her go.
The story takes them to Brazil, encounters with drug smugglers, steamy jungles, daring rescues and escapes.danger . I was touched by the intensity and the unconditional love that Alonso has for Sophie. So much emotion, so much conflict. Finding of your true soulmate. Sensual passion filled with love and gentleness. Alonso is one of my favourite heros….strong alpha male but not afraid to show love, kindness, patience , and honour.
Their wedding in the jungle was really sweet.

Enjoyed the last chapter where the Galvan family get together at Christmas and I particularly liked meeting up with the other Galvan’s from the previous books I had read about them.

I would love to read fully the one book (which I have been able to read a few chapers online) about Estrella (Mistaken for a Mistress). Hopefully it will be republished one day. I think I am going to send a request to Jane Porter about this.
So, if you want a book filled with LOVE & ADVENTURE, read this one.
