Bound, the 6th book the Eternal Guardians series by Elisabeth Naughton and Titus finally gets his story.

At the end of Enslaved, Titus met a mystery woman, who seems to have a connection to Maelea, and both feel an instant attraction between each other. But before he can find out her identity, she disappears after being kicked out of Argolea by Theron. Unable to get her out of his head, he has unsuccessfully been searching for her without much luck. But things are going to change in his life.
Bound opens with Titus spotting the mystery woman in disguise at a ceremony being held at the Argolean castle.

"She was back. He hadn’t imagined her after all."

Together they embark on a dangerous journey trying to stay ahead of villains from the Underworld, Amazons, nymphs, Olympian gods…whilst searching for someone who may save both of them.
I adored Titus and Natasa together…a sweet and engaging couple with really hot and sexy scenes with each other.

I like the way this series is going. A lot happens in this book. The triangle between Demetrius, Isadora and Nick reaches an unexpected climax at the end, and sets the continuation of the next book, which will be Nick’s story….I am so looking forward to that one.

Elisabeth Naughton’s Eternal Guardians Series has it all…… heady romance, sizzling sex, hot and sexy heroes, strong and sassy heroines, and never ending action and drama. It’s a total addictive mixture. I can’t get enough of the unique characters and the imaginative world she has created. I just love the whole Greek mythology theme and how well it’s interwoven with modern day times.

Enslaved is the 5th book in the series and so far one of my favorites.

I adored Gryphon and Maelae together.
Their journey to finding true happiness together was truly amazing.

Gryphon, had been tortured for months in the Underworld before being rescued by his brother, Orpheus, and has come back a changed man. No longer is he easy going playboy but now is quiet and a loner and seen as unstable by the other Guardian warrior. Driven to madness, hearing voices in his head, pulling him towards the darkness, he cannot see a way out of going back to the person he was before.

Maelea, daughter of Zeus and Persephone, has been alone for thousands of years, hiding from her father’s wrath and hatred. She is trying to find her way back to Olympus in the belief that someone will help her from the fears and dangers she has encountered in her life.

This is really a lovely story.

Gryphon, rejected, wounded, lonely and never lost his goodness and honor. He will do everything to protect Melea, who he knows is his true soul mate.

Maelea has always felt an outsider and never allows herself to feel anything for anyone or anything. Even though she feels a connection to Gryphon, she still is unsure about him.

But when they are both faced with forces of evil following their every step, she takes a chance on him. After all, there are a lot of similarities between them. Neither belongs anywhere.

There are some sexy and hot moments between the two but I loved the tenderness and sweetness as well, especially the time they spend together in Maelea’s beach cottage in Vancouver Island. That’s where they began getting to know each other and realize the deep feelings they felt for each other. Where nothing else mattered but being together.

The ending …..of course they get their HEA….did we ever doubt that????.....left me wondering about the unknown sexy redhead woman…who is she? And where is she going to fit in the next book???

I can’t help looking forward to more of the Argonauts and their lives.

I absolutely loved this book. The title totally stunning…everything about this story is in some way summed up in that title!

It’s Godfather & Cinderella!!
It’s thought-provoking.
It’s about love.
It’s about teenage angst.
It’s about family love.
It’s about loss.
It’s about the challenges in life.
It’s about human slavery, the mafia.
It’s about loyalty.
It’s about sacrifices.
It’s about heartbreak
It’s about murder.

Even after a week, I am still thinking about the story, the writing and the characters.

This is really a love story between two teens,

from totally different backgrounds that are thrown together by, I guess, fate.

How they find love and healing despite the many obstacles in their way to finding happiness together. Their chemistry and emotional connection was really amazing…and so sweet.
Carmine never deviated from what he felt for Haven. He knew she was the person he had always been waiting for.

The intensity of his feelings for Haven was deep and emotional….

From a life of a human slave, never being loved, except for her mother, and never knowing anything about a life outside her cage, suddenly meets a human being who cares and loves her.

Carmine made her believe, for the first time in her life, that just maybe there was something good out there for her and just adored how he supported her and gave her the confidence to do it.

The characters are so human and believable and you are pulled into their lives and see the good and bad sides of them and the struggles they go through.
I was fascinated by Carmine’s father, Dr de Marco. Here is a man with so many secrets, such hidden feelings, who has done some pretty bad things but despite those things, I felt his pain as he tried to find redemption and do anything to protect his family that he loves so much.

What I also enjoyed about this book is how I never knew where the story was going to. Who were the real good and bad guys? Would Carmine & Haven find happiness together?

It’s a long book, full of details and characters but I was never bored. I just kept turning page after page…..you know the kind of book you never want it to end but you so want to know the ending? This is was one of those.

And the ending…..wow……..

I can’t wait to start the next installment.

Elisabeth Naughton's, sexy Eternal Guardians series, in which herculean warriors, protectors of the Greek gods living in the realm known as Argolea, continues in Enraptured, the 3rd enthralling installment.

Orpheus is on a mission to rescue his brother, Gryphon, whose soul had been stolen by an evil daemon when a magic spell went wrong. Nothing will stop him and no one will stand in his way until he gets his brother back. Even the Siren, who has suddenly appeared in his life, who seems to have a hidden agenda of her own.

Skyla is a Siren warrior from Athena’s army, who has been sent to kill Orpheus. The reason for his execution given to her of him being a dangerous deamon does not fit the Orpheus she meets. She begins to realize that she has been set up and that there is more to her mission than what she knows.

I liked Orpheus and Skyla together.

The chemistry, sizzling attraction, was incredible….and the more they are together, the more the feeling of knowing each other before intensifies. I loved their interaction and banter…

“For the record, Siren, I like being saddled. Reverse cowgirl is my favorite. When you’re ready to ride, you just let me know.”

I loved seeing familiar characters again and having a glimpse of what is happening in their lives since the last book.

Honor, family, action, sadness, love, lies, heart-stopping adventure, passion, and enticing twists – this fast-paced story has it all.

The ending is emotional and hear-breaking – a broken Gryphon! Will he survive the evilness and cruelty he experienced as a captive of Atalanta?

We will find out in his story, which is the next book in the series.

I had absolutely no idea what to expect from Karina Halle’s latest book, Where Sea meets Sky, knowing only that it’s linked to Love In English, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... which I loved, and is the story Vera’s brother, who made a small appearance in her book.
What a fabulous surprise!!! I absolutely loved Josh’s book!!!

There have been a lot of mixed reviews about this book so I am not going to go into the storyline but rather write down what made me feel so delighted as I turned the pages.

Josh Miles – what an unforgettable character. He had something special, something that made you want to meet him.

The choices he made in his life…not afraid of the outcome but looking forward to what the world could offer him…

“I believe,” I say slowly, “that everyone you meet leaves an imprint on you. By the end of your life, that imprint has shaped who you are and what life you’ve lived.”

Gemma Henare was an interesting character. At first I was unsure of how I felt about her. Her indecisiveness and all that angst…..but as things are revealed about her life, I began to see something inside her that made me warm up to her.

The secondary characters are eccentric, interesting and entertaining…like Gemma’s family, who you can’t help engaging with.

Then there’s the road trip you are taken on through New Zealand with Josh, Gemma, Gemma’s asshole boyfriend and her cousin……………what an extraordinary journey!!!

Karina Halle’s past as a travel writer clearly shows in the amazing and vivid way she describes the country, that makes you physically think you are there.

Karina Halle’s poetic and lyrical writing flows so beautifully, taking you to another place, meeting new people and at the end, leaving you with a feeling of just experiencing someone new and fabulous.

The first half of this book reminded me a lot about the book, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Short summary of Rebecca - Heroine is the companion and working slave to a rich woman holidaying in the south of France, There she meets a mysterious and rich older man, falls in love and believing that he’s the knight in shining armor that will take her away from her lonely existence, agrees to marry him…after just a few days.

Hero is a dark and tortured man, who uses a naïve and innocent woman’s feelings from him as a way to overcome the demons in his life.
Taking her to his palatial home, she soon discovers that there are some very dangerous secrets about her husband’s life and his first wife’s death that he had never revealed to her.

In Erica Spindler’s First Wife, the heroine, Bailey Browne believes in love and fairy tales. Lonely after her mother’s death, she’s vacationing in one of the Caribbean islands, where she meets the handsome and mysterious Logan Abbot. She falls in love with him and within days of meeting each other agrees to marry him. They return to his beautiful horse farm in Louisiana.

There are a lot of things Logan never revealed to Bailey, especially that he had been married before and that his wife, True, had disappeared and has never been found. Logan tells her that True had wanted out of their marriage but others in the community, in particular the local police chief believe that Logan had murdered his wife and even some of the other women who had disappeared from their town.

Bailey is now totally freaked out!!! Yes, you should have spent more time getting to know more about the man of your dreams before marrying him!!!

Logan continues hiding secrets from Bailey…oh yes, the poor man doesn’t want her to be “swamped” with all the bad things in his life!!! Right!!! Idiot….Why not???

Instead Bailey begins to doubt his innocence….but she still loves him!!!

What didn’t work for me in this story –
Characters - I just didn’t care for any of them.. Quite honestly I didn’t give a “fig” what happened to them!!
Romance? Not much seen here…..felt no real chemistry between Bailey & Logan.
Suspense? Never felt it grip me.
Secrets revealed? So disappointing really!!!

This wasn’t exactly a bad or terrible book…..but just never excited me or pulled me in. I have read much better books by this author.
