Frenched by Melanie Harlow (my first by this author) was an absolute treat!!
This is a light hearted, smart, funny, sexy, quirky and a deliciously romantic read.

Mia Devine, an event planner from Detroit, is dumped by her fiancée one week before the wedding. Her friends persuade her to use the honeymoon trip to Paris.

She meets sexy Lucas Fournier, music professor from NYC moonlighting at his brother’s bar in Paris and soon both are thrown together on the most fabulous adventure.

Some of the things I loved about this story:

The Paris setting – the author captures the essence of the city so beautifully. I felt as if I was back in the Paris I know and love, walking the streets, seeing the sites….tasting the wine!!!

Lucas Fournier – sexy, gorgeous…..i could continue gushing but hell, this is a man I would love to be mine!!!

The dialogue between Mia and Lucas

The story of Abelard and Heloise….just fitted in so well into the story of love!!!

The sexy scenes were pretty hot and well written.

A total “feel good” story!!!

Now, I just need to find out what happens next to these two lovable characters.

I love Abby Green. Love her writing, her alpha heroes and endearing heroines and the fabulous settings.

An Heir to Make a Marriage has it all….the ultimate Cinderella meeting her Prince and living happily ever after!!!! It even has a character more evil than Cinderella’s stepmother……….

in fact, the hero’s grandmother puts Cruella de Ville to shame………….

Great storyline – heroine agrees to her employer’s request of seducing her grandson and in return will be able to help her sick father. But when she meets the hero, she realizes that she cannot carry out deceiving him and after spending a night with him, disappears vowing to never seeing him again. But things don’t quite work out the way we plan!!!!

I found the hero, Zac Valenti, a very likeable character.

He certainly had good reasons for breaking away from his family. Secrets, lies and betrayals…..a good reason for how damaged he was.

Rose O’Malley

I liked her a lot. She was sweet and endearing and caring and best of all, showed a backbone when it came right and wrong.

The two had great chemistry and I really wanted things to work out for them.

Loved the settings…..New York, Tuscany…….what could be better!!!

Stunning epilogue. I just love fairy-tale endings!!!

PS…I can’t believe it….this is the 20th book in the One Night with Consequences Series!!!!!

I am so into Italian alpha heroes...........so I was totally excited about Tara Pammi's latest offering....

Okay, I enjoyed this secret baby story....although I have to admit and say that I found Leandro Conti not so likeable at the beginning...but I warmed up to him. Same goes for Alex......

Talk about Machiavellianism.....Leandro's sly grandfather .......how he manages to win over that crafty guy is something to be admired.

Loved the epilogue and can't wait for Luca's book!!!

I gave up half-way the first time I started reading this book last year. I wasn’t feeling it…..
Giving it a second chance…..maybe my state of mind is different now and also I was about to start on The Beast…..

No, second time around and still not feeling it!!!!!
Bored out of my mind!!!! Should I keep turning the pages or not???? What a struggle it was to finally arrive at THE END!!!!

I love the BDB brothers but Trez & IAm ….just not into those two. And I couldn’t care about Trez & Selena and IAm’s HEA!!!

And then let me rant and rave about all those multiple storylines!!! After a while, I lost track of what and who was going on!!!!

To end this rant of mine off…..I have loved Layla from the beginning but in this book…..she was beyond stupid!!!! And forget my love in the past for Qhuinn!!! What a twit he’s turning out to be!!!!

Okay…..so am I going to give up on this series???? Probably not …..there are so many characters that I have come to love and hopefully the next book will set my blood on fire!!!!

Breakdown , the 31st book in Jonathan Kellerman’s Alex Delaware Series, featuring psychologist Alex Delaware and Detective Milo Sturgis solving crimes together in LA is not a bad addition to this series (which I have read most if not all of the books)….but then it’s not exactly one of those “wow” ones either!!

I suppose it’s pretty hard for a writer to keep things fresh after writing about the same characters and settings for such a long time and over so many books. And this is one of the things I have found in the last few books in this series.

I have come to know the characters so well that I know exactly what they will do next….how they will react to a situation…….how much more character development can be done after 30 books!!! I miss the interaction between Delaware and Sturgis that existed in the beginning.

The plot is good and well-written even when I thought the whole family secrets mystery a bit bizarre.

If you are a fan of this series, then you will enjoy this one.

I’ve enjoyed reading Steve Berry’s Cotton Malone Series but the latest and 11th adventure, The 14th Colony, was somewhat a bit of a disappointment for me.

Whilst I like the way the author blends in well researched historical mysteries with present day conspiracies, I found the plot, which revolves around the time of the Cold War and a lot of the USA amendments……Russian zealots bent on bringing down the USA today………..after a while I found myself skipping and skimming a lot of pages…….may I admit that I was bored….the slow pace until the last couple of pages …..did I struggle to get to the end.

Actually, I would have liked more pages given to Cotton Malone. Cassiopeia and other characters I have come to know and love.

This is the book in this series that never excited me. The author has written much better books in this series.
